The most awsome AI agent plugin for IntelliJ IDEA. Its integration with IDE itself is on another level.

It's flexible, it can be used easily with local AI and cloud also mixing cloud and local agent. Works great with IDE tools and also with your custom MCPs (a better docs on how they should be done and integrated would be helpful, but almost nobody has a good explanation of the details of the protocol). Also it's easy to understand how it works with memory and you can easily check or modify it. I'm using community as I work mostly with local AI, didn't try their subscription in minutes thoug, 'cause I halready had a OpenRouter key. Don't know then if their ModelHub service is on-pair with OpenRouter. It's a really good and promising product, that you can enjoy fully with community edition. Honestly I'd gladly pay for a subscription, but not for minutes/token since there are tons of services like that, but for support and new features, so fro basically stay up to date with the best practice, that in a field like AI know are in constant evolution. Jetbrains should consider some sort of collaboration to make this kind of official, as this kind of plugin is the kind of thing that dissuaded me to move to VS code...

Latest version forces an explyt account even on the "Community" BYOK edition. Also now enables "Send chat logs to improve the plugin". Overall, I am still satisfied with this, but I have concerns of future enshittification. Jetbrain should really acquire Explyt, as Explyt has shown how lacking Jetbrains own integrations into their own product truly is.
